Successful year despite Corona

The year 2020 was undoubtedly the best racing year for us so far. We achieved great success with our older birds and all this despite some difficulties at the beginning of the season caused by the global pandemic. At first we didn't know whether the racing season would even start and whether we would be able to race our pigeons.

Now we have some significant successes on our prize list and we are happy about the best old bird race in our career so far.

We started the trip with 79 pigeons. For the first prize flight we basketed 70 pigeons: 13 two-year-olds and 57 year-olds. This first flight went very well for us. It got even better later.

It must be said that the weather in the south of Poland was anything but favorable. Some flights were carried out in the rain. Many breeders suffered losses. However, our pigeons performed well.

This is a very good achievement for such a young team as ours, especially when you take into account the difficult weather conditions.

The secret

The secret is that there is no secret. This is the result of our many years of hard work and consistent pigeon management. We strictly adhere to our rules – both in breeding and racing. We believe in our well thought-out and proven methods.

We also owe our success to Röhnfried products. We have been giving it to our pigeons since 2015 and year after year we are pleased with their better performance. Thanks to Röhnfried's supplementary products, we keep our stock healthy all year round and do not need antibiotics.

We mate our breeding animals at the beginning of the year (January/February). They raise around four rounds of young a year. During this time they do not receive any antibiotics and we do not carry out any treatments against trichomonads.

Caring for the pigeons

The breeding pigeons receive Avidress Plus (5 ml/1 L drinking water) all year round. When they are sitting on the eggs, Avidress Plus with Usne Gano is added to the drinking water for 10 days. After these 10 days we start with our breeding plan, which is as follows:

• 3 days of Avidress Plus with Usne Gano
• 3 days of Avidress Plus with Avipharm
• 1 day of Avidress Plus with Gervit W

until the end of the breeding period.

The pigeons then get Avidress Plus with UsneGano in their drinking water and Moorgold with a herb-vegetable mix in their feed. All of this for 10 days. After this time, only Avidress Plus is added to the water and the feed remains without any additives. This care is valid until the breeding pigeons lay their eggs and until the racing pigeons take their first free flights.

The care plan for racing pigeons should include the products Blitzform, Rotosal, Bt-Amin forte, energy oil, oregano sheep fat and immune booster.

During the racing season we feed three times a day, even if the feed remains in the trough. We only give supplements with the feed once a day in the morning.

This care has proven itself for us and we achieve very good results both in breeding and on the race. Last but not least, this care is simple and effective.
