Your specialist for racing pigeons, show pigeons, poultry and rabbits
I am actually still a young pigeon fancier considering my age, but I have been involved with pigeons since I was a child. I have been a member of the PZHGP (the Polish Pigeon Breeders' Association) since 2002. I compete in RV Myszków 053, Regional Association Śląsk Wschód (Eastern Silesia). 100 pigeon fanciers compete in RV Myszków 053. At the beginning of the racing season, around 5,000 racing pigeons are put in the racing baskets.
I race my pigeons in total widowhood. I start with total widowhood about two weeks before the first prize race. I do not show the hens before the race, but after the prize race the pigeons stay together until the evening. The distance does not matter.
The 2020 racing season was at risk because of the corona pandemic and nobody knew whether we would even be able to race our pigeons. I found out four days before the first prize flight that it would take place and that I could basket my pigeons. Fortunately, the rest of the season was plannable and went without any major problems. It was a very successful racing year for me and my flock. I achieved the best result at a distance of 500-600 km. My pigeons won first prizes on most of these flights.
In the 2019-2020 racing years, my RV ran eight prize flights over a distance of 500-600 km and my pigeons won 6 x 1st prizes: 1/18631, 1/2851, 1/2026, 1/2366, 1/1850, 1/1973, 2/2026, 2/1400, 3/2851, 3/2167, 3/1973. In the years 2017-2020 I won many championship titles and had many pigeons on the winners' podium.

During the entire racing season, 655 pigeons were used, of which 417 won prizes, which is a performance percentage of 63.66%. It should be noted that in Poland only 25% of pigeons are eligible for prizes.
When it comes to feeding, I prefer a full trough. This method of feeding is convenient for the breeder and also very effective. I know many successful breeders who use this method of feeding in their lofts. However, this method must be introduced in the first year of life. It requires a lot of attention and good organization from the breeder, but it brings success.
The care before my successful flights was exactly the same as before other flights. I do not share the opinion of some breeders that the supplements, e.g. from Röhnfried, build up too much energy in the racing pigeons and as a result they cannot reach their home loft. Supplements must be used regularly and over the long term, only then are they really effective. It makes no sense to only administer them before long flights. The pigeons must get used to them. I believe that I am on the right track with my care. The proof of this is the last four years, where my pigeons showed good form throughout the racing season and won their first competitions.
I start with the specific supplementary products in April and administer them throughout the racing season. During the training flights, my pigeons are given mainly Carni-Speed, Mumm and Bt-Amin forte. I am sure that this has a great influence on the good course of the entire racing season. Although I must also admit that the breeder must be very attentive and flexible. He must observe his pigeons during the racing season in order to be able to react in time and appropriately.
On the day of the race, the pigeons are only given clear water. This applies to prize flights over all distances - 100 - 1000 km. After returning, the body needs to be given energy, which is why the pigeons are given Carni-Speed, Mumm, Bt-Amin Forte and Rotosal in their drinking water. I always administer the same on Friday, but also on Monday after the difficult flight. After returning, the pigeons also receive Hessechol and K-K Protein 3000 with their feed. Moorgold and Enrobac Immunobooster are also used as a preventative measure. Avymycin forte with Atemfrei ensures healthy respiratory tracts. I administer these products at the beginning of the week. Every three weeks on Monday, each pigeon receives Rozitol individually. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, Blitzform is added to the water, regardless of the distance and the weather. On Thursdays and Fridays, the pigeons also receive RO 200 Ready with their feed. I believe that these products put my pigeons in good shape and allow them to be in the best shape throughout the racing season, without showing major fluctuations. This is also proven by my flight performance - performance percentage of 63% in RV.
