The 3rd & 13th ace hen of the association, 5th yearling champion, 7th in the “Carrier Pigeon” championship, 9th RV champion of the association, 17th German champion... It can hardly get any better!

Robert, what is your summary of the season?

“2024 was really an extraordinary season. I am particularly proud of my two ace hens. It is always my goal to breed exceptional pigeons. The fact that two pigeons were able to place among the best in Germany this year was a big surprise for me too. However, it confirms my breeding philosophy, especially since I have a relatively small racing stock of 20 pairs.'

In Robert's opinion, the advantages of a smaller stock are clearly the increased attention that can be given to each individual pigeon, which of course strengthens the bond between the animal and the breeder.

When it comes to caring for his pigeons, Robert relies entirely on the highest quality. 'When it comes to additional products, I only trust in the products from Röhnfried. The foundation for future ace pigeons is laid in the breeding loft. I use mineral drink and UsneGano almost every day during breeding. The mineral drink also supplies the breeding and young pigeons with important minerals and acidifies the drinking water, so that I don't have any problems with trichomonads. UsneGano prevents coccidia, which means I can largely avoid medication.

During the trip I use Rotosal before and after the race. Before the flight it is used to increase performance, after the flight it is used to speed up regeneration. The pigeons recover faster and are back in good training shape early on.”
