In pigeon racing, the name Geerinckx stands for absolute top quality. The stock bird Gladiator can be found in many national winners and ace pigeons, not only in Belgium, but all over the world. Bart has always tried to stick to this foundation as purely as possible and other reinforcements always come from exceptional pigeons, other ace pigeons and national winners.

He has been a big fan of Röhnfried products for years
Bart's favorite Röhnfried products are Avidress Plus (his pigeons get this every day of the year), usually in combination with UsneGano. For the young pigeons he also uses a lot of Avidress Plus together with Vitalotop to reduce the infection pressure and build up good immunity.

During the moulting period he uses many vitamin preparations, such as Taubengold, Hessechol, Gervit-W and VitaloTop . During this period not a single mistake can be made and the pigeons need these extras very much, which can be seen in the quality of the feathers after moulting. VitaloTop is used a lot because Bart noticed that it has a positive effect on the general condition - the pigeons feel very good after using this product.

In spring, the racing team receives Atemfrei in their feed every day for 5 to 6 weeks, dried with a combination of Avimycin forte andherb-vegetable mix. This has a clear positive effect on their health, as they get white rings under their eyes and bright white noses. When the pigeons come home from a flight, they are given a K+K GoldDragee as soon as possible and in the case of a difficult flight together with a RO200 ready Tab. Nothing is more important than rapid regeneration after the flight. Bart also had very good experiences with the use of Rozitol nasal drops a week before the race.

The name Geerinckx has now gained international recognition in pigeon racing. Basic pigeons such as “Gladiator”, “Ijzeren” and “Willyke” form the basis for numerous top performances. These pigeons, which today, almost 20 years later, still have a significant influence on pigeon racing, have particularly strong hereditary characteristics. In 2022, Bart won the 1st national ace pigeon in the long distance in the yearlings KBDB '22 with his 'Twinkle Star' - BE-21-6135285.

His breeding practice embodies a modern concept: preserving the roots and maintaining the influence of national and international top bloodlines, especially through the close friendship with the Gyselbrecht family (Pipa).

The care

Bart's preferred products from Röhnfried are Avidress Plus in combination with UsneGano. These products contribute significantly to the top condition of his pigeons. For the young pigeons, he relies on a combination of Avidress and VitaloTop.

From the beginning of September, he increasingly uses vitamin supplements such as Gervit-W, Taubengold and Hessechol. No compromises are allowed during this phase, as the pigeons urgently need these supplements. The high intake of vital substances is reflected in the quality of the feathers after moulting.

Vitalotop in particular is used frequently, as Bart has found that it has a positive effect on the general health of the pigeons. In the spring, his racing team receives Atemfrei in their feed every day for five to six weeks, dried with a combination of Avimycin forte and a herb-vegetable mix. This contributes to general health, which is noticeable in the beautiful white eyelids and white noses. Bart sometimes repeats this during the racing season, but especially in the spring when there is a northerly wind.

During the racing season, the pigeons are given Blitzform two to three times a week. Before and after the introduction, Bart cleans the airways with the tried and tested Avisana nasal drops. He has also had good experiences with Rozitol, which he uses in the week before important races to open the airways as well as possible. Rozitol is used about four times per season.

For regeneration and energy supply he uses K+K Gold tablets and witch's beer. When preparing for flights he uses Rotosal.
