Your specialist for racing pigeons, show pigeons, poultry and rabbits
The SG consists of son Christian (31) and his father Jörg (60). Pigeon racing has been successfully practiced in the 3rd generation. It all started with Grandpa Erhard, who was a member of the association for over 50 years. Until 2006, the loft community was called Erhard, Jörg and Christian Korzeniewsky. Since 2006, Christian has taken part in the trip alone as a teenager. But his father Jörg was always there to help in the background. In 2019, Jörg joined in fully again and since then the two have been a well-rehearsed team.
Both Christian and Jörg are fully employed and work shifts. When Christian has the early shift, Jörg has the late shift, or vice versa. This ensures that the pigeons can always be looked after.
Preparation for the season
In January, the racing pigeons are presented to a veterinarian and if the veterinarian does not find anything, no treatment is carried out. The SG plays according to total widowhood, which means that all birds and females must take part in the prize flights. The race starts with around 40 pairs. The racing pigeons are paired in February and are allowed to raise one young bird each. The females are separated as soon as the young are around 15 days old. From this point on, the circulation method begins.
The old pigeons are trained privately 3 to 4 times over a maximum of 10 km. Before the season, the veterinarian is visited again because the SG Korzeniewsky does not want to leave anything to chance. Shortly before the start of the season, a treatment with witch's beer lasting several days is carried out. There is no more racing during the season, but a family day takes place the day before the release. Bathing day is always on the day of the release. The partners are no longer shown before the release, as this allows the pigeons to be basketed much more calmly.
The 2024 season
The SG is at home in the RV Wohratal-Frankenberg in RegV 455. They have been playing in the south-east direction since 2008.
The SG already had an excellent season in 2023 with both the old pigeons and the young pigeons. But the young pigeons of 2023 (8th Association Young Pigeon Champion BRD) in particular raised great hopes for the 2024 season. In addition, there were almost no losses. This meant that the 2024 racing team was larger than ever before with 84 pigeons. At the end of the season, all expectations were exceeded: the yearlings won the 1st regional championship in the yearlings with a lead of 4 prizes and were able to top it all off with the 2nd regional championship. They were only four ace points away from the top spot on the podium. Unfortunately, things didn't go so well with the young pigeons this year. The 1st and 2nd prize flights were still very good with 60% and 75%. However, the young pigeons unfortunately returned sick after the 3rd prize flight. They had to be cured for a week and it took a good two weeks until the young pigeons were fit again. In return, they were able to show their class once again with a regional group victory in the final flight.
The vaccination schedule
The young pigeons are vaccinated with RP-Vac two weeks after they are weaned. After three weeks, the whole process is repeated. In mid-June, the young pigeons are vaccinated again with PHA and around three weeks before the flights start, they are then painted against smallpox. The old pigeons are vaccinated against salmonella, PHA and smallpox.
The breeding pigeons
The breeding pigeons are paired between Christmas and New Year. Father and son are on holiday then and can take intensive care of the breeding pigeons. Christian decides which pair is paired together. Of course, Jörg also takes a look at the mating list. During the breeding phase, Gervit-W is used several times a week. In addition, Avidress Plus is regularly added to the water. But Bt-Amin forte and K+K Protein 3000 are also essential for the perfect supply.
During the moulting phase, all pigeons are fed Taubengold, Gervit-W and Avidress Plus several times a week.
Most important Röhnfried products in the flying season
The loft community has relied on Röhnfried products for several years. During the season, Carni-Speed is added to the water five times a week. UsneGano is used twice at the beginning of the week. This reduces the infection pressure and restores the balance of the intestinal flora. Blitzform is added 1-2 times in the middle of the week - the aim is to achieve a rapid increase in form. On the day of use and when they come home, Bt-Amin forte is always in the drinking trough. This guarantees rapid regeneration. The pigeons also receive Immunbooster and Entrobac in their feed. The next day, K+K Protein 3000 is added to this combination.
The brothers 62 and 111
The 1st and 2nd best yearling birds in RegV 455 2024 are even full brothers. Their father comes from Manfred Meyerholz's loft. The mother is '31' who was 1st ace hen in June 2022 in the magazine 'Brieftaubensport International'.
